Lot 101
1808/7 C-2 R3 Overdate 8 over 7 VF25. Sharpness AU50 but covered with uniform very fine granularity. Otherwise this piece is essentially flawless. Has the look of a coin that was placed in an unfriendly environment when new or nearly so. No verdigris and the only mark is a barely visible ancient hairline scratch just left of the mouth. Matte dark steel. Nicely struck EDS, Manley state 1.0. The overdate feature is obvious. Estimate Value $700 - UP
