Edison, Thomas (1874-1931) American inventor and businessman; he held more than 1,000 patents for his inventions, including the electric light bulb and the phonograph. Three-quarter seated photograph signed ("Thos A Edison") in black ink at lower right, 9 x 7", n.p., n.d. Some silvering and minor blemishes around edges and mount has remnants from a previous framing, else fine. A handsome portrait.

Edison, Thomas (1847-1941) American Inventor. Check signed ("Thos A. Edison"), as president of Edison Botanic Research Corporation, West Orange, N.J., Sept. 21, 1927. The pale green check is drawn on the Savings Investment & Trust Co. and paid to Hermano León for $120. Stamped bank cancellation lightly touches part of signature. As usual, Edison's signature is beautiful. Fine condition.
