Vintage WWI Poster Enlist In The Navy. Vintage original WWI poster printed by the U.S. Navy, 28" x 34", with illustration by Dutch artist, Louis Raemaekers here mocking the Kaiser. Uncle Sam, dressed as a doughboy, is lifting the cross of subjugation off an innocent, with the words slavery and barbarism clearly evident. Driving the point further, a rallying quote by Theodore Roosevelt printed below illustration for " Americans! Stand by Uncle Sam For liberty against tyranny."
