Lot 333		1967, Apollo Program flammability test teflon lacing & kapton coated wire. Following the Apollo 1 fire on 1.27.67, a series of flammability tests were conducted in the CM boiler-plate chambers. As a result of these tests, this lacing and wire were incorporated in Apollo CM & LM spacecraft. The two samples (about 6" long) are from the original batch, some of which was used for testing, are affixed to COA by the lacing. Estimated Value $150 - 200. Lot 334		Apollo 1, 1967, Ed White & Roger Chaffee Original Name Tags. Two embroidered name tags (5x2.25") for Apollo 1 mission. Tags with white borders, round edges and embroidered with astronaut's name. NASA ordered these for possible use on the crew's spacesuits. They are an early version that was later changed before the mission to tags without white borders. Fine condition and seldom seen. R&R COA. Estimated Value $500 - 750. Lot 335		1967, Apollo 1, original "Apollo Flight Crew Emblem" crew patch. This is one of the genuine 'official' crew patches (3.5") as given to Deke Slayton in his official capacity as Director of Flight Operations by Apollo 1 crew member Gus Grissom prior to the fire in which the crew lost their lives. Included is a copy of two notes (original on file) found with the patches in Slayton's estate. One is of a NASA card reading "Item: 'Apollo Flight Crew Emblem' (Part NO ACS 204/Date Sept 19/1966/Quantity 15/Aug 1966)" and bears two official handstamps. 2006 Bobbi Slayton COA.
