Lot 32
1804 C-13 R1 Plain 4 without Stems. NGC graded MS-65 Brown. Frosty steel brown and chocolate. The surfaces are slightly dull thanks to a thin layer of natural oxidation, especially on the reverse, but this could be easily brushed away to bring out the underlying mint luster. The only marks are a microscopic speck of verdigris inside the top of the 8 in the date (probably removable), a pair of faint marks in the field left of the shoulder, and a barely visible scuff on the chin that does not alter the toning. The reverse is essentially flawless. M-LDS, Manley state 3.0 early. The dentils on both sides are nearly gone. Our grade is MS60+. A nice example of this popular "Redbook" variety.
Estimated Value $5,000-UP.
