1953-C, $2 Legal Tender Note. SPECIMEN. . Fr-1512. . KL-1624. PCGS graded Gem New 65 PPQ Specimen. SPECIMEN is stamped twice on the front and twice on the back. Probably Unique! Although some $100 denominations are known, as they were distributed to foreign banks, this is the first 1953-C deuce we are aware of. An opportunity of a lifetime!

Background brief: Before the government releases new bills they send out specimens to various banks and dignitaries as a token of appreciation and to aid in the detection of bogus money. If you love deuces, this is a must have!

1966, $100 Legal Tender Note. . Fr-1550. . KL-2745. PCGS graded Superb Gem New 67 PPQ Only 1, 2, 5 and 100 Dollar notes have been issued in the small size, red seal Legal Tenders. Of these, the 1, 2 and 5 Dollar notes are now obsolete and only the 100 Dollar notes are still current. The Act of May 3, 1878 decreed that the amount of United States Notes outstanding must be maintained at $346,681,016, and the requirement is being satisfied through use of the 100 dollar note.
