  Postal History accumulation balance, approximately 50 items, includes two single #1a on cover to Canada West (worn and aged condition), two 30¢ 1861-66 covers to Germany, 15¢ #77 to France (nice stamp), 12¢ "E." grill, three off-center 1¢ "F." grills from San Francisco to Mass., 10¢ "F." grill, 1¢ 1869 on a small mourning cover, scarce 4¢ rate to France paid by two 2¢ 1869's, 3¢ 1869 tied by green Oswego, NY cork, 3¢ and 7¢ 1873 Bank Notes to France tied by pretty leaf cancels, 3¢ 1873 on a lady's pink cover tied by Waterbury, CT three-leaf clover (some math problems on the cover), a 6¢ 1881 Re-engraved with 1¢ #206 on 3¢ Green entire to Austria, and a diagonal bisect (with no perforations) of #213 on a telegraph form tied by New York double oval (if genuine, certainly an unofficial use), also included is a 10¢ 1847 and a 90¢ 1861-66 on covers to which they do not belong, thirteen covers with 2004 P.S.E. certificates including the two "did not originate".

  Valuable balance of collection and accumulation, allow sufficient viewing time for this lot to accurately calculate the value, patient viewing will be rewarded! many hundreds of virtually all mint stamps in stock books, on pages, etc., strong in regular issues from 1890 to 1938 (very little early commemorative material), a very high percentage of the material in the lot is in blocks of four or larger thus many of the original gum stamps are never hinged, strong in Washington-Franklins but much good value to be found in other issues, at random we note #'s 2 pen cancel removed, 208a, 215 block, 221 (two pairs), 224 block, 357-58 pair and single, 303 block, RW1, 9c-30¢ 1917-19 blocks (five different), $2 & $5 Prexy never hinged center line blocks, C1 left arrow block, C10a, E1, Prexy coil line pairs, 4¢-6¢ 1910 blocks, 1¢-25¢ 1922-25 blocks (ten different with two each of the 3¢ and 5¢), 3¢ Nebr. block, 2¢ reds (some better plate blocks), 2¢ White Plains souvenir sheet, PS6 two imprint and plate no. blocks of six, 320a right arrow block, some air mails and other back-of-the-book, lastly some first flight covers, a few better Christmas seals and a few fake flat plate coils with P.S.E. certificates, condition is generally very nice although there will be a few faults here and there which is inevitable in a lot of this size, vast majority F.-V.F.

Eleven used singles and a horizontal pair, includes #'s 9, 11 (x2), 14 (x2), 15, 17 (x5 plus pair), both 3¢ with Express Mail cancels, one 10¢ NY Ocean Mail, 12¢ with blue, three red and a rare five point star, the pair with pen cancels partly removed, two are sound (one pen cancel removed 10¢ and the 12¢ pair), others tiny to small faults, otherwise F.-V.F., several of the 12¢ are rather nice looking, each with 2004 P.S.E. certificate.

  United States nearly all mint collection, several hundred stamps mounted in a deluxe edition 1941 Scott National album, the used is confined to 1861-1879 and some back-of-the-book (about 60 stamps), the mint include 1890-93 and Columbians to 15¢, some Bureaus, Trans.-Miss. to 10¢, Pan.-Am. and Louisiana Purchase complete, good Washington-Franklins including some coils, 1922-25 complete, 2¢ White Plains souvenir sheet, Kans.-Nebr. overpints, air post with 1918-23 complete and 1933 Chicago Zeppelin, also Special Delivery, some postage dues and newspapers, condition is somewhat mixed, but the vast majority F.-V.F.

  Fancy cancellations small valuable collection, approximately 250 stamps in a small album, nearly all 3¢ 1861-66 but also some 3¢ 1851's, 1857's, 3¢ 1869's and a few 1¢ Bank Notes, many better cancellations and generally good clear strikes, briefly we note (all catalog number references are from the Skinner-Eno book United States Cancellations 1845-1869) Cleveland mask PH-M20, negative "67" similar to ND-Y11, Albany, NY "Lincoln" and stars LC-NP15, Putnam, CT "US" PT-C21, "Nov" and "Dec" ND-M15, 16, Lansing, MI "AUC" between bars ND-M6 (on 3¢ '69), plus many other better ones as well as the usual, but no less desirable colors, geometrics, numerals, stars, "paid"s, leafs, masonics, etc., the 1¢ Bank Notes include a Glen Allen star precancel and a "baby" in a coffin, also included is an abbreviated 3¢ '51 color chart and a few 3¢ 57's and 1¢ 61's for varieties and cancels, the few questionable cancels in this lot are not counted, a fascinating old-time collection containing a very high percentage of useful desirable material.

  U.S. Possessions collection, valuable and attractive lot of approximately 200 virtually all mint stamps on album pages, almost all of the value is in U.S. Administration overprint issues, begins with Canal Zone #'s 4-8 singles plus blocks of four of the 2¢ and 8¢ (PSE certificate), eleven different Cuba, Guam #'s 1-13, E1 complete less 10¢ and $1 type II, Philippines is strong with "key" overprints such as #'s 223A-235 (PSE certificates indicating faults, trivial on the $5), 237-239 ($1 used, other two mint and with sound PSE certificates) and E1, also a fair showing of later issues to 1937, last there is Puerto Rico with pairs of #'s J1-J3, first two combination 25 and 36 degree overprints, the 10¢ are both 25 degree, virtually all F.-V.F.
