Mint Set of Wallace Sterling Silver Golden Grande Baroque Place Setting for 12 Including Steak Knives with 14 Additional Serving Pieces- 112 Total. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most elegant sterling silver patterns by Wallace Sterling, "Golden Grande Baroque" in virtually mint condition. We cannot find evidence of use and the family could not recall any occasion of the flatware finding its way to the table. The set is absolutely gleaming and the design discretely sophisticated. 112 piece set.

Exceptional 58 Piece Set of Gorham Sterling Silver "Grand Baroque" Flatware Set Place Setting for 8 with 2 Serving Spoons & Carving Set. Wallace "Grand Baroque" is by far the company's most popular patterns released in 1941. However this pattern remains a best seller 75+ years later as it certainly hints at a late French Renaissance or early Baroque period. However the utensils are not in anyway cumbersome as its rich design suggests.

Magnificent Sterling Silver Centerpiece by Juvento Reyes Lopez. Juventino Lopez Reyes: Mexican Artist born in 1915 and was at his height and creative power in the 1950's. His style is fixed firmly in the Mid Century Danish Design. In 1935 he opened his workshop Plateria del Recreo and used slight variations on the hallmarks. Many of his designs exhibited the simplistic Danish design with touches of tradition Mexican art worked in to the production.

This scalloped centerpiece measures _ wide and stands _ high including the feet and weighs 73 ozt. Actual bowl depth is _ deep. There is scrollwork along the rim that ties into the two handles. The bottom is stamped with the JLR logo. It is also stamped Made in Mexico, Sterling and 0925. This is a very impressive piece that makes a dramatic table impression. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,400

Russian Imperial Silver Hunting Egg and Trinket Box. The first item is a fine silver hunting egg featuring decorations depicting moose heads and oak leaves on the lid and oak leaves on the bottom. Both lid and base are set with red gem stone cabochons and the lid is surmounted by an Imperial crown. The egg sits on three scrolling feet and opens to reveal a silver figurine depicting what looks to be a bison or a moose. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian silver standard, an assay mark under the date 1878, and two other marks.
The second is a silver trinket box decorated with floral designs and gem cabochons, red and turquoise in color. The lid is decorated with the double headed imperial eagle. The box sits on four scrolled feet and the bottom is stamped with an 84 Russian silver standard, an assay mark under the date 1873, and two other marks. Estimated Value $500 - 700

Hand-painted in rich polychrome enamels of yellow, red, green, blue, brown and black this handsome plate was made as part of a set of three, commissioned by Sloan & Smith Ltd., Oxford Street to commemorate the peace of 1919 with only 250 produced.
