1855. Kellogg & Co. $50 S.S. Central America Restrike. PCGS graded Gem Proof. A lovely gem that was struck on September 9, 2001 by the California Historical Society using the original Kellogg dies. This one shows a touch of antique toning near the right edge of the obverse. Some copper spots on both sides. All of these were struck if California Gold recovered from the S. S. Central America shipwreck. Estimated Value $4,000 - UP
