Lot 917
1915-S Panama-Pacific $50 Octagonal. NGC graded MS-63. CAC. Premium Quality. Lovely Golden toning and sure looks like a MS-64 coin. Only 645 minted. This CAC-endorsed octagonal example represents one of the greatest eras of artistic achievement and industrial advancement, both in numismatics and American history. The strike is sharp throughout, complementing warm honey-gold luster and satiny surfaces. Only minor, unobtrusive handling marks are evident beneath a loupe.

The octagonal design and shear heft of this two and a half ounce gold coin is enough to draw quite a lot of attention on its own, but add to this the choice quality and desirable CAC approval and you have quite the numismatic package for today's sophisticated buyer. For not only is this one of the great classics in all of our numismatic history, but finding one this well preserved and attractive is quite difficult. This is a spectacular opportunity for the long term investor to put away one of the bluist chip coins this country has ever produced (PCGS # 7452) Estimated Value $90,000 - UP
