Ladies Elegant Vacheron & Constantin 18K Yellow Gold and Enamel Pendant Watch Purchased at Bailey, Banks & Biddle, 1946, w/Original Case. Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest watch manufacturer in continuous production for over 265 years and known for their artistry and advanced craftsmanship. Offered is such an example for the lady an 18K yellow gold open face pendant watch heavily accented in blue enamel with a discrete moire pattern within the enamel on the case back. Centered is a lovely 18 white gold and diamond design accented with tiny European cut diamonds that give a bit of sparkle. The matching 18K white gold necklace with blue enamel accents is centered with a .35 carat Old European cut diamond with J-K color that adds an elegant touch. Watch is manual wind and keeps time perfectly. The pull stem to set the watch needs service as it is presently very tight.
33.4 grams 28mm face, a 20" chain with pendant suspended 4" so the overall length is 14".
Watch comes in its original case and is lettered in gold gilt "Presented to Mrs. Emory S. Land, By the Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock Company on the Occasion of Launching S.S. "Gronigen" July 27,1946. Estimated Value $900 - 1,500

The automatic (self-winding) model boasts 23 jewels and has a retro sunburst face with gold numerals. Some scratches on crystal, otherwise in fantastic vintage condition and keeps perfect time. 30mm with Kiefer-Cadman stretch band. The rectangular Bulova is manual wind and likewise keeps great time. Ladies 14K Yellow and White Gold Custom Made Bracelet Watch of Considerable Gold Weight. One of the most incredible watches we have handled given it was a custom marriage of a large 14K yellow gold bracelet in a weave and twisted rope pattern likely from Italy, with a white gold and diamond Hamilton watch. The watch was mounted without its clasps, the face of the watch embedded within the bracelet and the original diamonds studded bands laid out on top. It is very easy to wind the watch and the piece keeps perfect time. Our consulting jewelers have never seen another quite like this piece and were impressed with the weight. 7" in length, integrated clasp and safety lock.

This is a classic, simple but sophisticated tank borrowing heavily from the Art Deco period. There appears to be no restoration to the watch, and both the second sweep and the watch keep perfect time. On verso there is an inscription "Pearl to Willis, 12/25/46", two first names that have all but disappeared! Men's Watch: Rare Collector's Wakmann Chronograph. Working Condition and in Very Good to Fine Condition. There is a library of information on Icko Wakmann founder of Wakmann Watch Co. when he moved to NYC after WWII to manufacture chronograph watches and cockpit clocks which originally began in 1943 in Portugal. The relocation also was a strategy as an end around to the restrictions in place on Swiss watch imports. Ultimately he partnered with Breitling in 1947 and together established a global brand.
Offered is an early 1970s chronograph manual wind watch in working condition. The leather band is new but the watch appears very much in its original state. Keeps perfect time, 17 jewels INCABLOC with France printed along bottom edge. The face has mild discoloration otherwise fine. For collectors, this particular watch is a significant footnote in watch brands. One of the finest watch makers most people have never head of.
