Lot 498		1879-CC. Capped die. PCGS graded MS-64. A nice frosty white coin. The surfaces are fresh and attractive, and push toward the gem grade. While the Capped Die variety is sometimes discounted, this one shows mintmark sharp and clear. The rarity of the 1879-CC Morgan dollar is legendary, and this is one of the toughest CC issues to find at all. Here is one that nudges so close to the gem level, with vibrant white frost on the devices and satin smooth fields. A prize to pursue! Pop 371; 47 finer at PCGS. Lot 499		1879-CC. Capped die. PCGS graded MS-62. CAC. Frosty and white with glittering luster and a solid strike on all the devices. This is one of the keys to the series and a date and mint which is always in strong demand. Lot 513		1887-O. PCGS graded MS-65+ Deep Mirror Prooflike. CAC. PQ. Well Struck and fully white and a prized condition rarity. Only a handful offer the depth of Deep Mirror Prooflike fields found here, and better still this one has gem quality surfaces, a winning combination rarely found on these supremely delicate mirror surfaces. Add to this the desirability of the 1887-O date and you have a combination that can't be beat. One of the finest to survive, and rarely found in DMPL in even much lower grades, as these simply do not exist in more than a few handfuls of survivors! Sure looks like MS-66 DMPL.
