1819. Large 9. B-2, Rarity 3. NGC graded MS-64. Nice multi-colorful toning on both sides with deeper iridescent colors through the stars and date on the obverse, and through the peripheral legends on the reverse. Well struck to the centers of Liberty's curls and the eagle's feathers on the reverse. A more elegant example could scarcely be imagined of this popular date early Large size Capped Bust quarter. Excellent surfaces and unending visual appeal for this monumental condition rarity from the famed Eric P. Newman Collection. Pop 1; the finest example graded at both services. The fields show reflective surface from residual die polish while the devices are frosted and sharp.
