Lot 412		1787 Fugio Cent Newman 1-B Rarity-4 Cross After Date G6. Variety with UNITED STATES. Slightly glossy medium chocolate and darker olive brown. The surfaces are mostly smooth but there is a shallow planchet lamination in some of the sun rays (as struck) and a patch of corrosion in ring number 9. Traces of glue or some similar substance can be found on the reverse. The date and legends are all readable and the cross following the date is clear. Lot 413		1787 Fugio Cent Newman 7-T Rarity-4 AG3. A STATES UNITED variety. Slightly glossy light chocolate and olive brown. Mostly smooth and the only mark is a shallow dig in ring number 9. Lot 414		1787 Fugio Cent Newman 8-X R3 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. A STATES UNITED variety. Choice lustrous medium steel brown with a couple subtle puffs of slightly darker steel brown toning on both sides. Hints of underlying faded mint color remain visible on the obverse and this piece has superior eye appeal. No planchet flaws or other defects that are so often seen on these old coppers; essentially flawless. Later die state with a massive die crack at the bottom of the obverse that has created a shelf in the die face. Almost certainly an example from the famous Bank of New York Hoard of 1641 mint state Fugio Cents, and 189 of those were of this die variety. High grade Fugio Cents from that hoard frequently are available in the marketplace, but this is an especially nice one. A great type coin. Lot 415		1787 Fugio Cent Newman 9-T Rarity-6 ANACS graded G6. A STATES UNITED variety. Slightly glossy medium brown and light chocolate with darker olive brown toning in protected areas. The two-tone appearance accents the devices and enhances the eye appeal. The highpoints are smooth but microscopic roughness covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. No verdigris or notable contact marks. The date and legends are easily readable except for BUSINESS, which is only partially visible. (BUSINESS is usually weak on this variety regardless of the sharpness grade.) The die crack from the dentils to ring 9 is clear. Lot 416		1787 Fugio Cent Newman 13-X Rarity-2 VF35. A STATES UNITED variety. Glossy medium chocolate and olive brown. No marks or other defects, just lightly worn on the highpoints of the devices. The date is strong and the legends are easily readable.
