Apollo XVII Flown Flag To The Moon Aboard Spaceship America, December, 1972 Mounted on NASA Presentation Certificate. Apollo XVII flown flag carried to the Moon aboard the spaceship America December 7-19, 1972. Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt proved to be the last humans to walk the surface of the Moon with Ronald Evans piloting the Command Module. A signature presentation to the Flight Director Brock "Randy" Stone in "recognition of his outstanding and significant contributions to the manned space flight programs" by then Director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, Christopher C. Kraft Jr. who has signed and dated the certificate in February, 1981. Cerificate is in excellent condition, measures 11 x 14" with only slight toning to the flag which is common due to the mounting. No better provenance than NASA. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
