9 CREW SIGNED PIECES BY APOLLO VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. A REMARKABLE OPPORTUNITY, 27 SIGNATURES. Nine (9) Apollo missions comprising of seven (7) crew signed photos and two (2) crew signed vintage pieces for a total of 27 signatures 1.) Apollo VII: 8 x 10" color photo with Wally Schirra (1923-2007) who inscribed "To Our Southern Cross Penny from the triple cross- Apollo VII" then boldly signed along with Donn Eisele (1930-1987) and Walt Cunningham (1932-) 2.) Apollo VIII: 5 cent commemorative "NASA Local Post" presentation folder with mint souvenir sheet of stamps cover all signed boldly in black Sharpie by Frank Borman (1928-), James Lovell (1928-) and Bill Anders (1933-) 3.) Apollo IX: Jim McDivitt (1929-), Russell Schwickart (1935-) and David Scott (1932 -) have all signed using different sizes of black markers on a B&W still of the Apollo 9 launch vehicle as seen through the palm trees of then The Kennedy Space Center. 4.) Apollo X: Gene Cernan (1934-2017), John Young (1935-2018), and Tom Stafford (1935-) have signed a B&W still as they disembark from their recovery helicopter on the USS Princeton in fine point pens. 5.) Apollo XI: Neil Armstrong (1930-2012), Buzz Aldrin (1930-) and Michael Collins (1930-) have signed an 8¼ x 5" card commemorating the mission with a brief description with their famous crew portrait in their white spacesuits. Card has canceled 10 cent air mail stamp dated July 20, 1969. While along bottom of card there are small printed facsimiles of their signature Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin have all signed across their suits with Armstrong in blue marker, Collins and Aldrin in black. Apollo XII Pete Conrad (1930 - 1999), Alan Bean (1932 - 2018) and Richard Gordon (1929 - 2017) have all boldly signed an 8 x 10" color litho in their white spacesuits in front of LM, Conrad in blue Sharpie and Gordon and Bean in black Sharpie. Apollo XIII, James Lovell (1928 -), Ken Mattingly (1936-) and Fred Haise (1933-) all signed 8 x 10" color litho in white spacesuits with Kennedy Space Center canceled stamp Apr. 11, 1970 in lower right corner. Obviously Mattingly was replaced at the very last minute by Jack Swigert due to being exposed to the German measles but this litho was signed prior, all executed in fine black marker. The mission proved one of NASA's finest hours in the safe return of the crew after an oxygen tank exploded. Apollo XIV: Alan B. Shepard (1923-1998) Edgar D. Mitchell (1930-2016) and Stuart A. Roosa (1933-1994) spectacular crew signed 8 x 10" color litho of the lunar surface with a trail left in the lunar soil by the two-wheeled Modularized Equipment Transporter (MET) which leads from the LM. All have boldly signed in black Sharpie. Apollo XV: Jim Irwin (1930-1991), Al Worden (1932 -), and David Scott (1932-) crew signed 8 x 10 photo with the Lunar Rover and LM clearly visible as Irwin salutes the US flag. Irwin has inscribed "Jesus walking on the Earth is more important than man walking on the Moon". All three astronauts have signed in black felt pen or Sharpie. Every piece and every signature are in excellent condition. A rare collection. Estimate Value $6,000 - UP
