1903 Louisiana Purchase-McKinley Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 63 Cameo. Rich golden toning. Only 100 struck, with 80 to 90 examples estimated to have survived according to PCGS Pop Report. These rare proofs are highly sought after by Commemorative coinage experts. First off the mintage was tiny by any standards, even then--so collectors who wanted an example often were left without the opportunity to secure one. Today these regal and historic proof gold dollars are seldom offered except when major collections come to market. Here is a beautiful example that will dazzle any specialist.
