Warhol, Andy and Keith Haring: Two of the Greatest Pop Artists of the 20th Century, Autographs. Andy Warhol (1928-1987) and Keith Haring (1950-1998) two of the greatest pop-artists of the 20th Century. Both artists' works are instantly recognizable, but Warhol certainly can claim the top tier; his works are recoginized all over the world. Offered are two signatures: 1.) Warhol has signed his name to a print of one of his most famous silk-screens, "Mao" removed from a signed VIP book in 1982 in the lower right corner, 9½ x 8¼". Comes with COA from Art+Auction, Zurich. 2.) Keith Haring has boldly signed on a piece of stationery his name with one of his signature characters, 3½ x 5½" with COA from AACS autographs. Artist Emily Sartain (First Woman to Practice Mezzotint Engraving), and Three Musicians--Jan Kubelik, Solomon Cutner, and Gerard Souzay. Emily Sartain was the only woman to win a gold medal at the 1876 Philadelphia World's Fair. ALS on textured paper, 8 x 5", Philadelphia, Jan. 2, 1891, accepting the honor of being elected as a life member of the New Century Club. Darker toning around edges, light purple transfer from an unknown document, 1" tear at right edge of salutation, and mounting remnants on verso. About very good. Jan Kubelik, signature and date ("10-X 1933") in green ink by the renowned violinist and composer; Solomon Cutner sentiment, signature ("Solomon"), and date (August 1948) by the famous pianist; and French baritone Gerard Souzay, Isprog. Last three items fine. Estimate Value $100 - UP

Galle, Emile - French Artist, 1894 ALS With Excellent Content (1846-1904) French artist who worked in glass and was a driving force in the French Art Nouveau movement. Autograph letter signed, one page, in French, 8 ¼ x 5 ¼", Nancy, Emile Galle's Chrystalworks, June 7, 1894. Thanking "dear poet": "You will make my fame and my pleasure with your two sonnets….I am going to work the flowers of your young muse into glass. From your verses I will make glass and you will be responsible for it, and the witness and master of both arts…." Overall toning. Estimate Value $300 - UP

Rockwell, Norman -- Signed Collotype Print: "Freedom of Speech". 32 x 22", framed to 40 x 33". Printed by Arthur Jaffe, New York; distributed by Raymond and Raymond. Signed in black marker in lower border. This is one of the images from Rockwell's famous "Four Freedoms" series, which he created in 1943, inspired by President Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1941 State of the Union speech. They appeared in The Saturday Evening Post in 1943. Estimate Value $200 - UP
