1794 S-30 R1 Head of 1794 NGC graded XF Details, Corrosion. Slightly glossy medium steel brown and light chocolate. There is no trace of verdigris and the surfaces are free of any notable marks. This cent offers nice eye appeal but a glass reveals very fine roughness on all but the highpoints, which are smooth. E-MDS. The date is bold and the legends are clear. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net F15+. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP

1796 NC-1 R6- Draped Bust VG10. Sharpness VF25 but covered with uniform fine granularity under rather glossy dark olive brown and steel toning. No verdigris and the only notable mark is a small planchet flake on the cheek left of the nostril. The date and legends are complete and clear. Well struck and nicely centered on the planchet. A new discovery. Not perfect but still one of the finest known of this very rare variety; superior to either of the two examples in the famous Dan Holmes collection. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
