Apollo 14, 1971, FLOWN United States Flag (6x4", not mounted) with a NASA multicolor presentation card (10x13.5") that reads, in part: "This flag was carried to the moon on the Apollo 14 mission to Fra Mauro." The presentation certificate has printed autographs of the crew. Scarce and attractive.

Apollo 15, 1971, FLOWN Lunar Surface "Moon Dust". On a piece of clear tape (.75x1") and mounted on a multicolor "Williamson" descriptive certificate of authenticity that reads, in part: "…I entered the spacecraft to remove the cameras and film. While inside Endeavour, I used the piece of tape attached to this presentation to remove a sample of lunar dust from the leg of Dave Scott's EVA suit. Commander Scott's suit is currently on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum…". The tape clearly shows both the grey moon dust and ridges from the creases in the space suit. A great addition to any collection.

On an Insurance cover with a multicolor NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Stamp Club cachet and a pictorial KSC, Jul;y 25, 1971 machine cancel. the cover is signed on the reverse: "James B. Irwin II 46/70." A James B. Irwin II COA stating that this is one of the covers in his father's possession at the time of his death, is included. Mounted in a tripod cardboard viewer that is marked: "Mission Apollo 15 / Date 7-16-71 / Flight CM12, LM10 / Camera SEB331000409307 / Film Magazine KK / Frame number AS15-87-17779". This 3rd Generation color film shown a magnificant lunar view of footprints and rocks on the lunar surface. Included is a 1996 Superior Stamp and Coin COA from their Spring 1996 auction. Two additional unrelated NASA color transparancies (4.5x3.5") are included. An attractive addition to any collection.

Apollo 17, FLOWN Lunar Surface US Flag (6x4") This flag is mounted on a blue/white NASA presentation certificate (framed to 16x13") that reads, in part: "This flag was carried to the Taurus-Littrow Valley of the Moon - December 1972." The certificate has the printed signature of Christopher C. Kraft, Jr., Director of the Johnson Space Center. Attractive and seldom available in this format.

Apollo 17, 1972, FLOWN LUNAR SURFACE United States Flag (6x4") with a copy of a typed letter, on NASA letterhead, to Ed Barker from Gene Cernan stating, in part: "This flag of our nation flew to the moon aboard the spaceships "America" and Challenger," Apollo XVII, December 6-19, 1972…". ALSO included is a copy of a handwritten note, initialed by Ed Barker, that reads, in part: "Given to me by Gene Cernan - Personal Kit - Apollo 17. In his suit while on the moon." A notarized certificate stating that both documents are genuine, is included. Rare and seldom available.

Apollo 17, 1972, FLOWN Lunar Surface Film (.33x.25") This piece of film unexposed leader film was salvaged from the last camera used for photography on the lunar surface. The film leader was discarded after the film was developed at the Johnson Space Center after the flight, but salvaged for posterity by Richard Underwood, Supervisory Aerospace Technologist at JSC. The piece of film is mounted on a descriptive Underwood Certificate of Authenticity (8.5x11"). Scarce and attractive.

Apollo 17, 1972, Gene Cernan, Ron Evans and Harrison Schmitt Vintage Autographs. On the mat (20x14") surrounding three sequential photos (6x9") of the Apollo 17 liftoff (taken by TRW Systems Group). The autographs are still quite bold and only a couple of minor surface rubs mar the finish on the third photo. An attractive presentation. Unframed.

Apollo 17, 1972, "Too Beautiful to have Happened by Accident" Lithograph by Alan Bean (1983, Meredith Long Gallery, 26x35", No. 334/600). This multicolor lithograph was Alan Bean's very first print and is almost never available today (it sold out in 1995). The printed inscription on the bottom of the print reads: "Apollo 17 astronaut Eugene Cernan said, 'When I stood on the moon and looked up at the earth, I felt it was just too beautiful to have happened by accident. I could see all the elemts that made up Apollo - the moon, the planet and country from which the first explorers came, deep infinite space and man himself'." In addition, the artist has hand-inscribed this print in gold ink at top: "To the Hoffman's - A great adventure for all human beings. An impossible dream Americans made come true, Alan Bean, Apollo XII, 4th Man on the Moon." The original Bean printed COA is included. A rare piece of art in outstanding condition.
