1872, $5 Gold National Bank Note. The Nat'l Gold Bank of D.O. Mills & Co. Sacramento, CA. PCGS Currency Apparent Fine 12. . Fr-1138. . KL-225. While the PCGS Currency insert notes some "Minor Splits and Repairs," the result is a professional-looking restoration with all of the splits expertly sealed to preserve the note for future generations. It is a pleasing examaple for the grade, and the gold coin vignette on the back is surprisingly sharp. This privately onned Sacramento bank is always popular with collectors, and is much scarcer than its more common San Francisco cousins.
