  1887/6 Nickel Three Cents. Proof 62. A few obverse spots from choice. Nice color throughout, one item of note is a short planchet crack at the upper reverse.

  1888 Nickel Three Cents. NGC graded Proof 65. A couple of almost invisible lines on the obverse, but the eye-appeal of this coin is exceptional. Perfect nickel color with a hint of gold iridescence. If all recent PR66s looked as nice, our job would be easier.

  1888 Nickel Three Cents. PCGS graded Proof 65. A lovely gem proof that is untoned and boasts excellent contrast. Mintage for the year was 36,500 for circulation, with an additional 4,582 struck in proof, although many were melted when the denomination was abolished in 1890 according to Breen.
