Lot 209
Liberty Nickel. 1912-S. NGC graded MS-64. A choice coin for the grade which is toned a medium blue-nickel sheen, with some hints of gold around the periphery. The fields and cheek of Liberty are free of annoying disturbances. Although slightly less expensive than the 1885, the mintage of 1912-S weighed in at a paltry 238,000, making this date by far the lowest mintage (aside from the fantasy issue of 5 coins dated 1913).

Lot 219
Buffalo Nickel. 1926-D. NGC graded MS-66. An amazing example of this rare date, amazing because it is fully struck on the obverse and on the reverse save for the tip of the bison's tail. Furthermore, this coin is enhanced by a rainbow of colors around the periphery, perhaps it was stored in an album for years, or carefully placed in a coin envelope allowing years for this type of color to adhere. A low mintage date that is seldom found in grades even approaching this high end gem. A fabulous opportunity for the specialist.
