Collection of 48 Hand Painted Cells - Walt Disney Productions, Les Clark. Les Clark was part of the inner circle of Disney Animators known as the "nine old men." In fact Clark holds the position of the longest, continuously employed member of Walt Disney Productions employed from 2/23/27 to 9/30/75. From 1974 comes this 24 minute combination live action and animated documentary entitled Man, Monsters & Mysteries which examined the questions man has had through the ages regarding mysteries and monsters, focusing on Nessie (the Loch Ness Monster) voiced by Sterling Holloway and narrated by Sebastian Cabot. Offered here are 48 hand painted cels, many double cel stacks which taken together demonstrate the charm and artistry that used to go into hand drawn animated features. So much so these cels were part of an exhibit at Epcot in the early 1980's on "The History and Process of Animation". Cels are in overall excellent condition a collection as beautiful as it is charming.

It Was A Short Summer Charlie Brown - Production-Used Cels. Five items: Bill Melendez directed this sixth prime time animated Charlie Brown special based on the "Peanuts" comic strip by Charles Schultz which aired September 27, 1969. Charlie Brown and the gang find themselves in school, retelling their experiences from attending camp in a 500 word essay. Offered are five production-used cels, three of Snoopy in his bus driver's cap; the one with white car lane stripes is two production cels. The remaing cels are fantastic groupings of the cast of SHORT SUMMER, most especially the 4 cel stack to create the characters from the entire camp, both the girls and the boys. Opaque watercolor on acetate, each measuring 10.5 " x 12.5" all in excellent, colorful, untrimmed condition.

Original Ralph Heimdahl Bugs Bunny Daily Comic Strip c. 1965, Signed and Inscribed. Ralph Heimdahl proved one of the most versatile artists of the 'Bugs Bunny' daily strip. He started illustrating the daily from its start in 1948, when it was written by Jack Taylor. Eventually, Heimdahl also took on the Sunday page, written by Al Stoffel and continued until the 1970s. Ralph Heimdahl was also employed by Disney in the late 1940s ('Bucky Bug', 'Dumbo'), and worked on the classic animations of 'Fantasia' and 'Snow White'. Offered here is an original daily comic strip art of Bugs Bunny dated 9/29/65, signed again in bottom white border. 7¾" x 24" on drawing board and in excellent condition.

Greats In Animation - 2 Illustrations and Signatures of Walter Lantz, Historic Photo and Signature of Mel Blanc. Walter Lantz, catoonist, animator, producer and founder of Walter Lantz Productions created a menagerie of colorful characters, but none quite as famous as Woody Woodpecker. Offered are two signed illustrations. The first is a tracing of Lantz's hand with Woody sketched inside, hand signed and dated 1983, original pencil lines apparent, on an 8" x 10" sheet of drawing paper. The other a pencil sketch of Woody Woodpecker inscribed, signed and dated 1982 by Lantz on an 8" x 10" card stock. Both in excellent condition. Also offered is an original calling card and vintage original 10" x 8" photo signed by Mel Blanc and fellow radio cast members of a Mutual Radio program. Blanc had his start on radio hence his moniker as "Man of a Thousand Voices" but achieved legendary status with his Looney Tunes characters. Also in the photo of fellow notables of radio is Cliff Arquette better known as his character "Charlie Weaver" a persona he became very popular with on The Jack Paar Show and later Hollywood Squares.
