Shuttle Enterprise Approach and Landing Tests (ALT) 1977 Over 60 Unique Color Photos, 6 B&W. From the personal archive of the flight director (himself in several of the photos) of over 60 8 x 10" color photos and 6 B&W of just about every aspect of testing and the test pilots involved. Fantastic images of Enterprise in flight, piggy-backed on a 747, detaching, in flight and landing. Still in its original 3 ring binder and sleeves, images yes, exhibit that soft pink fade so common, but are very clean and quite dramatic. An absolutely fantastic archive. Estimate Value $300 - 400

Mammoth File Collection of ALT Flight Rules Spanning Several Years in the Mid-1970s and Flight Director's Scrapbook. A total of 10 workbooks, including two large notebooks addressing Approach and Landing Test Flight Rules from the mid-70s from the departments of Flight Operations Directorate and Flight Control Divisions. The two large notebooks contain many handwritten notes and notations to memos. Also included is a scrapbook of numerous newspaper clippings from various states of news coverage and personal items including a funny fake citation recognizing the flight director's stamina in remaining at the control position hence "The Water Closet Avoidance Award and Portable Integrated Special Standard Effluent Receptical Award"; all in fun. A full file box of archived materials. Estimate Value $300 - 400

Important Collection of Six (7) ALT Program Integrated Flight Checklists and Crew Malfunction Procedure. Dating from April to October 1977, a collection of Seven (7) ALT (Approach and Landing Integrated Flight Checklists) and one Crew Malfunction Procedures Checklist. These were prepared during a series of taxi and flight trials of the Shuttle Enterprise, conducted in 1977 to test the vehicle's flight characteristics both on its own and when mated to the Shuttle Carrier 747 Aircraft, prior to the debut of the Shuttle Space Program. These are all from the personal archive of the Flight Director, and most have many handwritten notations and computations, especially the Final Revision B of the first test. Five separate ALT mission tests are represented in these six three ringed manuals all in very fined used condition. The seventh is the Crew Malfunction Procedure manual. Estimate Value $600 - 900
