Lot 1701
1881-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. A well struck white coin. The silvery hue is especially resilient and pulsating here, a noteworthy addition to the sale. Meanwhile, the devices are keen-edged in all areas, as struck, which the grading service has clearly abided by when assigning its seldom-used 66 grade for a CC-mint Morgan dollar (PCGS # 7126) .
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,100.

Lot 1702
1881-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64 Deep Mirror Prooflike. A nice white coin. Forthright silver mirrors surround frosty devices providing nice contrast. Sharp and appealing. The sharp impression is again the usual outlook for 1881-CC silver dollars, but just the same, this piece was left very nicely detailed by the recoil of the sharp dies; a providential occurrence for anyone seeking a bold example. Only 296,000 minted (PCGS # 97127) .
Estimated Value $900 - 1,000.

1881-CC Morgan Dollar. PCI graded MS-65. Frosty white. Our grade is MS-63. A white, mainly untoned example, as choice and lustrous as when it was first graded; the few bagmarks on the cheek and in the field tend, in our opinion, to place it at the 63 level. The eagle is impressive.

1881-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-63. Lovely rose and green obverse toning. The reverse is nice rainbow colors. A coin bursting with iridescent afterglow, exquisitely toned and blazing in appearance. The surfaces are clear of all but a few bagmarks. It is easy to see this piece was delivered a hard blow by the dies, as well, since the dies seem to have yielded the requisite force, and which imparted their sharpness to the struck planchet. The photographs of the toning give a good account, but first-hand interaction with the coin produces a more striking experience! (PCGS # 7130) .
