Three (3) Fine and Unusual 19th Century, Early 20th Century Walking Sticks. A walking stick was an integral part of every well dressed man's wardrobe in the 19th Century and early 20th Century, and his collection of walking sticks were probably kept just inside the hall in a stand, sharing space with umbrellas. These were carved from many types of wood ranging from fruitwood to hickory and many boasting incredible carvings and elaborate handles. 1.) English country walking stick with deer antler carved handle having the face of a man with glass eyes. 35" in length. 2.) Briar cane terminating into the head of a boxer (dog) having glass eyes. 33" in length. (slight wood split behind left ear, likely there for nearly a century) 3.) Briar cane terminating in the head of an elephant head stained dark to contrast with rest of stick 35½" in length. Any of these canes would be welcome additions to any collection. Handsome Antique British Walking Cane with Sterling Silver (950) and Gilt Gold Eagle Shaped Handle with Faceted Red Stone Eyes. Handsome early 20th Century walking cane with a striking handle of an elongated eagle's head. Stamped 950 Britannia Silver with British makers mark, eagle boasts some fine detailing in the gold gilt feathers, the beak and around the faceted red stone eyes. Handle is secured to wood staff with a silver banded ring with a tied bow detail. In fine condition we note only minor wear to gilt atop eagle's head where gripped the most. Otherwise the ebonized wood staff and silver tip are in excellent condition. True elegance from a time long past. Length 33" and eagle grip 3" in width. Estimated Value $400 - UP

Collection of Seven (7) Antique Straight Razors Late 19th to Early 20th Century, Bakelite Scales with Custom Antique Wood Box for All Seven. Antique straight razors are once again in use as many emporiums are refurbishing them back to their original condition for use in barber shops as well as many men doing the same as there is simply no closer shave. Five different and respected brands from decades past are represented in this collection of seven (7) straight razors. 1.) One No.6 Joseph Rodgers & Sons "Cutlery To Their Majesties" Sheffield, England, ca. 1880 and highly desirable. 2.) One Dame Stoddard Company, Boston, Mass., Made in Germany. 3.) One Costa & Sons, Boston, Mass. 4.) Two from Lüer, Germany 5.) Two A&N CSL straight razors from England. Refurbished, and these blades are quite prized, with many having bakelite scales.
Also included is an antique Gentleman's hinged wood box 7 x 3 x 2" (no brand or mark), custom made for holding straight razors, seven total, with red velvet cushioned lining and handsome brass details to corners and lid. Box's lock is missing the male clasp but opens and closes easily with hinges quite stout. Estimated Value $200 - UP
