Great Collection of Unusual Sterling Silver Pieces: Three Cuffs, Colonial Spanish Cob Bracelet, Art Nouveau Pin and 6 Bangles. Great collection of sterling silver pieces, some very unusual, striking and perfect gift giving
The highlight here is:
1.) Authentic Colonial Spanish cobs. Cobs are the original "treasure coins." Struck and trimmed by hand in the 16th through 18th centuries at Spanish mints in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia silver cobs are handsomely crude, nearly all with a cross as the central feature on one side and either and a coat of arms or tic-tac-toe design. Custom bracelet has 9 authentic cobs (half pence and one real) and the spacers appear to be trade beads. 8½" in length quite unique and appealing.
2.) Wonderful cuff with a Mexican gekko resting atop the bracelet. Nice weight to cuff 2½ x 2" mint condition
3.) Art Nouveau pin in beautiful high relief. 2¼ x 2"
4.) Simple cuff with foliate designs from Mexico 2½ x 2".
5.) Twisted rope cuff 2½ x 2"
6.) Six (6) great bangle bracelets (wear them all at once) 2¾ x 2¾"

11 Pieces of Persian Silver: 5 Vintage Persian Silver & Carnelian Rings, 1 in Agate plus Matched Pendants, One Locket and Two Strands Beads. Five (5) Vintage Persian Silver and Carnelian Intaglio Rings, One (1) of Agate. Six (6) handsome Persian silver rings. Four (4) have carved intaglios in carnelian of winged lions, one is in almost translucent agate also of a winged lion, and one ring set with a carnelian intaglio of king's profile. Sizes range from 8¾ to 11, and all are in excellent condition.
Plus a fine collection of five (5) vintage pieces of Persian silver: 1.) Two matching diamond shaped pendants centered with highly polished carnelian ovals with a hint of gold gilt. The "fringe" are a bit funky with carnelian beads suspended by tiny springs. 1½ x 2½" each weighing shy of one ozt. and very handsome pieces. 2.) Two handsome strands of "worry beads" the beads themselves very attractive, one of open silver work, the other set with raised patterns. Each 10" one with coins and Persian turquoise with each weighing 1¾ ozt. 3.) Small oval locket pendant with foliate design. 1½ x 1" and weighing ¼ ozt. All in excellent condition. Estimated Value $300 - 500
