1885 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-64 Deep Mirror Prooflike. Deeply toned with blue, red and gold on the right side of the obverse, from the peak of Liberty's crown down to the last few stars on the right, the balance a bright yellow gold in color, similar on the reverse, with the toning from roughly the right wing of the eagle to the base of the reverse, the other areas a similar bright yellow gold. This one is Deeply Prooflike too, and shows only minor signs of contact. One for the toned coin specialist.

Deep lustrous blue on the left side of the obverse, brilliant gold at the back behind Liberty's cap, with some purple-reds in between. The reverse mostly white save for some gold at the edge. Trivial contact marks on Liberty's cheek from perfection, and still a gem.

1886-S Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-67. Stark white in color with magnificent surfaces throughout. The strike is full and sharp, with no signs of weakness to be seen. Pushing the wonder coin definition back a bit, this one boasts a splendid cheek on Liberty, with virtually no signs of contact from other coins. Piled high with mint frost, and downright superb. PCGS has graded just 4 coins this high, with none graded higher! Therefore, we conclude that this is easily one of the very finest known, and is simply unimprovable.

1887-O Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. The double die obverse is very slight. Brilliant and white, with just a whisper of gold at the edge. A lovely gem. Listed as an R-5 in the Van Allen-Mallis reference work on the series. A rare date and especially rare as a variety, in fact this is the finest graded example seen by NGC of the variety, and the only MS-65 graded by that service of 205 coins seen! Hence, we recommend this one if you are a variety specialist in the Morgan dollar series.
