Lot 1127
1953-S Franklin Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66 Star. This is a "star" NGC holder. Splendid peripheral toning on this scarce date. The lower bell lines are not quite full, as nearly always seen, but certainly good enough for most collectors. Pristine surfaces and good luster too, with no annoying marks to distract the eye. An arc of rainbow tones on the left side of the obverse.
Estimated Value $200 - 250.

Lot 1128
1953-S Franklin Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. One of the most difficult dates to find with "Full Bell Lines", this one has a better than average strike, but is weak on the center bell lines, as always. Locating a fully struck specimen has become downright expensive, as seen in the famous sale of a gem in January 2001 by our friends Bowers and Merena. Clean surfaces.
Estimated Value $60 - 90.

1955 Franklin Half Dollar. MS-64. So named for the curious clash marks at Ben Franklin's mouth, which have the appearance of buck teeth. Lovely toning on the obverse with rose and gold over mint fresh luster. Sharply struck.
Estimated Value $10 - 15.
From the Benson collection and put away at the time of issue.
