Lot 373
1797. 10 stars left, 6 right. PCGS graded VF-30. Nice even toning on both sides of light gray. There are faint central adjustment marks on the obverse, and around the rim of the reverse. These Small Eagle silver dollars have really disappeared from the marketplace in recent years. Here is a satisfying example with light toning and is well balanced to represent the type overall (PCGS # 6865) Estimated Value $3,400 - 3,500
The Santa Barbara Collection.

Lot 375
1802 Wide Date, B-5, BB-242, Rarity 5. PCGS graded VF-25. Attractive even grey toning on both sides. A nice coin for the given grade. The Wide Date variety of 1802 is actually a fairly scarce coin, however, PGCS did not differentiate this variety for the first few decades of their grading, so all 1802 silver dollars fell into this category, hence the population looks plentiful. In reality the Wide date issue is quite scarce, and far less plentiful than the Narrow Date variety. A solid example of this tough issue and one which is hard to find for the Set Registry series with major varieties (PCGS # 40087) Estimated Value $1,800 - 1,900
The Santa Barbara Collection.

1877-CC. PCGS graded AU-53. CAC. Premium Quality. A mostly untoned example with dove gray surfaces, a bold strike and traces of mint luster in the protected areas. The orignal mintage of over 500,000 was likely reduced by nearly ten percent of this which may have been melted before leaving the Carson City Mint. What is well known today is that this is a scarce issue to find, especially so in high collector grades as this coin offers (PCGS # 7045) Estimated Value $1,500 - 1,600

1879-CC. PCGS graded MS-62. CAC. Well struck and fully white with the look of a Premium Quality coin as confirmed by the CAC sticker. One of the most popular and sought-after dates in the entire Morgan dollar series, with a mintage well below 1 million coins and survivors estimated to be around 15,000 pieces, with about a third of this in various mint state grades. Here is a delightful example of this key date with mint fresh luster and a solid strike, they type of quality that never goes out of style (PCGS # 7086) Estimated Value $6,000 - UP
