Advertising token of Royal Coin Company of New York City and Revere Massachusetts with a Pine Tree shilling replica reverse AU55. St. Patrick Copper Farthing. . Breen-208 Griffee 1-4/0a Rarity-7- VG10. Type with nothing below the king. Sharpness near mint state but dark and granular. Most likely lost in soil for some time but the only trace of verdigris is a speck at the top of the king's head. No contact marks or other defects. Dark olive and steel. Eleven examples of this Griffee die variety are known.

St. Patrick Copper Farthing. . Breen-208 Griffee 1-4/1p Rarity-7 VF30 but holed. Type with nothing below the king. Choice glossy medium brown and chocolate with smooth, flawless surfaces except for a small hole at the base of the S in PLEBS. The brass splasher is large and bright. Superior eye appeal in spite of the hole, and still one of the finest of only 8 known from this die combination.

The only defects are two "T's" punched on the Saint Patrick side. The brass splasher is small but bright. One of 12 known from this die pairing.

St. Patrick Copper Farthing. . Breen-216 Griffee 73-5/2a Rarity-7+ AG3. Type with a large "8" below the king. Mostly glossy medium brown and chocolate. The brass splasher is bright and relatively large. Some details are considerably sharper while others are missing due to the uneven strike. A few small rim dents but no significant distractions. The "8" below the king is visible. Late die state with strong die cracks left of Saint Patrick's legs. Only 4 examples known.

1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Period after "GEORGIVS". . Br-180. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Frosty mint red toning to bluish steel brown, about half the original color remaining. No marks or planchet flaws, only a few microscopic specks of darker toning on both sides, none notable or visible without the aid of a good glass. Nicely struck from dies that were free of rust. Variety with 7 harpstrings. A choice example, most likely from the Cohen Hoard mentioned earlier.

1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Period after "GEORGIVS". . Br-180. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. Lustrous original mint red fading to bluish steel brown, at least two-thirds of the red remaining. No stains or contact marks, just some microscopic specks of darker toning from gem status. Nicely struck on a flawless planchet. Variety with 8 harpstrings and fine die rust showing on both sides. Most likely from the famous Cohen Hoard consisting of a mint state keg that was dispersed slowly from the late 1800's to 1929, when the remnants were sold at auction.
