"The Bible: Geneses From Creation until the Deluge" by Abel Pann. Complete Portfolio of 25 Original Signed Lithographs, 1924. Abel Pann's first set of original Biblical lithographs reproduced by the artist and printed on heavy hand-made paper at "the Graphica" issued by the Palestine Art Publishing Co. Ltd. Jersalem. All 25 lithographs are present with 23 having pencil signatures, one signed in plate and one with no signature. This hardcover elephant folio contains a full index of the lithographs, a publishers note, printed in both English and Hebrew and entitled "To the Subscribers" and reveals the difficulties bringing this phenomenal work to publication. 100 copies of this particular edition were printed of which this is #75.

"Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden", "And there was light", "And God made the lesser light", "And he took one of his ribs", "And Abel was keeper of the sheep", "Cain rose up against Abel his brother and slew him" are some of the titles of the engravings clearly listed from the Book of Genesis.

This volume is complete with evidence of wear, limited predominantly to tears, soiling and some separations to the front hardcover and spine. But the lithographs are in very fine condition with only a hint of toning to outermost edges, each separated by onion skin leaves. 16.75 x 12.25" and bound by string and tied. Many of these volumes have been destroyed by book dealers and galleries to present the lithographs for individual sale. Again, this edition is complete and a rare opportunity to purchase this historic publication in its complete form. Estimated Value $2,500 - 4,000

Shalom Moskovitz: Published Under Shalom of Safed. Six (6) Vintage Lithographs of Biblical Stories (1896-1980) Six very colorful, whimsical interpretations of Old Testament stories. These particular lithographs were signed in stone and published in NYC
The lithographs themselves within the black margins are in wonderful condition with vivid colors. Just outside the black lines a gallery "whited out" "Shalom of Safed, Signed in Stone Doron, N. Y. C." Attempts to remove the liquid paper correction fluid helped mitigate three of the lithographs, the others haven't been touched. Lithographs were previously matted with mounting tape discoloration at top left and right corners evident on each lithograph. All these issues are reconciled with fresh mats and framing and well worth the effort! Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000
