Lot 183
1794 S-24 R1. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. CAC. Lustrous uniform medium steel brown and light chocolate. An extremely attractive cent, essentially flawless. The only marks, and they are insignificant, are a microscopic pinprick at the dentils left of the date, a tiny flake on the cheek close under the left edge of the eye, and a small planchet flake nestled between the E & R in LIBERTY (as struck). M-LDS, Breen state V. There are two light die cracks on the obverse, fine die rust in several places on both sides, and an irregular die line that connects the R & I in AMERICA. The puffy "Apple Cheek" feature is obvious. A sharp cent that offers exceptional eye appeal. Just a light touch of friction on the highest points of the devices. Graded AU50 and tied for CC#7 in the Noyes census, his photo #36539. Bland did not see this cent. Our grade is AU55 Choice. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer: 1 in 63, 1 in 66+. (PCGS # 35537) Value $20,000 - UP

Lot 184
1794 S-31 R1. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Choice frosty olive brown and steel with lighter brown toning in the fields and protected areas on the reverse. Essentially a flawless cent with great eye appeal. The best identifying marks are a thin diagonal planchet fissure on the top of the cap and a small diagonal planchet flake near the berry right of the D in UNITED (both as struck). Sharply struck and nicely centered on a choice, smooth planchet. MDS, Breen state II, with fine radial die flowlines and no clashmarks. Noyes graded AU55 net AU50 (no reason given for the deduction), his photo #61963. Our grade is AU55. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 5 finer: 1 in 63, 1 in 63+, 2 in 64, 1 in 66. (PCGS # 35558) Value $20,000 - UP

Lot 185
1795 S-75 R3 Lettered Edge. PCGS graded AU-58+. CAC. Very attractive frosty light to medium brown. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only "defects" are some shallow low spots inside the wreath (caused by oil or grease on the die). MDS, Breen state IV, with fine die rust and irregular die cracks on both sides. Our grade is MS60. Not seen by Noyes or Bland. In our opinion the folks at PCGS aimed a bit low on this one. Removed from an NGC holder graded MS63BN. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 5 finer: 2 in 62, 2 in 64, 1 in 65 at PCGS. (PCGS # 35717) Value $15,000 - UP
