Lot 91
1806 C-3 R6 Small 6 with Stems PCGS graded G4. PCGS graded Good-4. Mostly glossy medium chocolate and steel brown with slightly darker olive and steel toning in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth, free of any trace of corrosion or verdigris. The only marks are a collection of nicks or a pinch under the 8 in the date and a few fine hairline scratches on both sides, the strongest of these from the I in UNITED to ALF in HALF. The pinch under the 8 was strong enough to create a slight bulge at the rim above TE in STATES, and this bulge resulted in excessive wear on those two letters. Otherwise the date and legends are complete and strong. EDS, Manley state 1.0, prior to the die crack at ICA in AMERICA. Our grade is net G4+, close to G5. A decent example of a very rare variety that is unknown in grades better than Fine. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer, 2 in 10, 1 in 35 for the variety. (PCGS # 35197) Estimate Value $6,000 - UP

1806 C-4 R1 Large 6 with Stems PCGS graded MS64 Brown. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. Frosty light greenish olive and golden tan with peeps of very faded mint color in protected areas. The luster is a bit subdued by a thin layer of oxidation. Just a few trivial marks including a speck of darker toning high on the neck and a small nick left of the eye. MDS, Manley state 1.0 late or 2.0 early. The repunching on the 6 is still clearly visible and the reverse is rotated 40 degrees clockwise causing weakness on the bust tip. Struck very slightly off center to K-3.5. Our grade is MS60. Pop 3; tied for the finest MSBN examples graded at both services. (PCGS # 1099) Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
