1803 S-255 R1 Small Date & Fraction EF40. Sharpness AU50 but the toning is a bit darker than normal and there are microscopic specks of extremely fine verdigris hidden under the toning. Frosty medium to dark olive brown. The only marks are a dull nick on the lower part of the neck near the bust and a couple other signs of light contact at OF on the reverse. None of the marks is distracting and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. LDS, Breen state IV, with a cud break at STA. The cud break is complete, not retained as sometimes found on this variety. Estimate Value $600 - UP
