Lot 402

1833 N-5 R1 Repunched 8 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Very attractive lustrous light olive brown and chocolate with overtones of bluish steel. Peeps of faded mint red show on both sides and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. A vertical nick close to the curl on the cheek is the only notable mark. M-LDS. The stray 8 positioned in the dentils below the normal 8 is gone but the repunching on the upper part of the normal 8 remains clear. Our grade is MS60+. The attribution and Fricke provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 1 finer in 64 for the variety. Estimate Value $800 - UP
