1814 S-294 R1 Classic Head, Crosslet 4 PCGS graded XF45. Glossy chocolate and olive brown with some reddish chocolate toning on the lower part of the obverse. The toning on the obverse is a bit uneven and there is a small spot of shallow verdigris in the dentils at star 7. No notable marks or other defects. M-LDS, Breen state II, with die clashmarks on both sides. Our grade is EF40 sharpness net VF35. The attribution and Fricke provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 12 finer for the variety. Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
