1809 S-280 R2 Classic Head VF25. Slightly sharper but there are traces of microscopic roughness hidden under the mostly glossy very dark olive brown toning. No verdigris and only trivial contact marks. A tiny planchet flake midway between the brow and star 5 and a small planchet void under the 1 in the date are good identifying marks. MDS, Breen state VI, with die cracks at the top of the reverse. Estimate Value $800 - UP
