Lot 361

1801 S-219 R2 3-Error Reverse PCGS graded F15, CAC Approved. Very attractive glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. The surfaces are smooth and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal for the grade. The only notable marks, and they are invisible to the unaided eye, are a fine scratch hidden along the bottom edge of the bust, a hairline on the cheek, and a couple more in the field before the face. MDS, Breen state IV. There is a die crack arcing through UNI and clashmarks visible on both sides. All 3 of the die-cutter errors are clear (missing wreath stem, 000 denominator, & "U" over inverted "U"). Our grade is consistent with the slab grade. A really nice example of this popular "Redbook" variety. The attribution and Fricke provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $1,000 - UP
Ex Doug Bird.
