Lot 359

1800 S-205 R4 VF25. Ten points sharper but there are too many contact marks for the sharpness grade. All the marks are blended nicely into the attractive glossy light to medium chocolate brown toning, and the eye appeal is excellent. The notable marks are a couple nearly horizontal scratches at the shoulder, a few fine vertical scratches hidden in the hair, and a minor rim bruise at RI in AMERICA. LDS, Breen state III. The horizontal die crack from the rim to the hair under the ribbon is clear and die clashmarks show on both sides. A nice cent in spite of the marks, near the lower end of the condition census for the variety. Estimate Value $600 - UP

Realized $764
