L. Calpurnius Piso Frugi. Silver Denarius (3.82 g), 90 BC. Rome. Laureate head of Apollo right; below chin, C. Reverse: L PISO FRVGI / ROMA in two lines below, horseman riding right, holding palm; above, farm tool. Crawford 340/1; Sydenham 656a; Calpurnia 12. We note a scrape hidden amongst the leaves of the laurel wreath, otherwise very well centered and lightly toned. Choice Very Fine. Estimate Value $250 - 300
