Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 96

Lot 1272

1853. PCGS graded MS-65. A nice frosty coin that is well struck in birght yellow gold. The devices and fields are especially clean and attractive for such an early date quarter eagle. Furthermore this is clearly one of the finest examples of this date to survive given the population numbers. Impressive! Pop 6; 3 finer, 1 in 65+, 2 in 66. (PCGS # 7767) Estimate Value $3,500 - 3,800

Realized $5,170
