1859 7-piece original proof set graded by PCGS. Including: 1¢, PR-65 CAC; 3¢ Silver, PR-63; Half Dime, PR-64; Dime, PR-64; Quarter, PR-64; Half Dollar, PR-64 CAC; Dollar, PR-64. All have nice deep toning. The cent offers delicate tawny brown to tan color, typical of these Copper and Nickel planchets. This is of course a single year type coin with a nearly closed laurel wreath on the reverse without the shield at the top. The 3¢ Silver has deep royal blue and gold toning throughout, with a bold strike and clean surfaces. For the Half Dime the toning is similarly deep and attractive, and the fields and devices are fresh and clean. The Dime shows matching toning to the other silver coins. The Quarter is an elegant mix of blue and silver gray. The Half Dollar is sharply struck and attractive with its matching blue toning. And last but not least the Silver Dollar is satin smooth with reflective fields and deep original toning.
