PAXS type (1083-1086), BMC type 8, Wallingford mint, moneyer Sweartlinc, crowned facing bust with sceptre, crown type 1, within circle, legend commences at lower left, +PILLELM REX. Rev. Cross pattée within linear circle, letters P A X S within annulets in each angle, +SPIRTIC ON PΛLN. (BMC 1027; N 848; S 1257). Weak in parts of legend but with a pleasing portrait. Choice very fine.
