Large Specimen, Calcite After Quartz Crystals from Humboldt County, Nevada. Striking shelf specimen of a large calcite after quartz crystal from the Golden Amethyst Mine in Humboldt County, Nevada. Recently extracted, specimen has been acid etched and reveals the dogtooth formation of white crystals from a vein from the sides of the mine. Measuring 4 x 8 x 4" and weighing 7½ pounds, this specimen has high visual appeal. Comes with specimen evaluation where evidently it is the first extracted.
