Worcester First Period Dr. Wall Japanese Pattern, Delicate Blossoms & Birds ca. 1760. Two matching pieces in the strikingly colorful Worcester Japan pattern adapted by the 18th century Dr. Wall design team with blue square mark under glaze. Very scarce pattern of delicate blossoms similar to honeysuckle and stunningly rendered blue and yellow breasted birds with orange tails. First is a sucrier (sugar bowl) with lid, blossom atop lid with just a flea bite to one petal, in simply excellent condition, 5¼ x 4" the other a bowl 3½ x 6" with inside bottom of bowl painted blossom all but worn down but exterior of bowl very fine. No cracks, chips or repairs. $400 - 600
