LOT OF (3) VICTORIAN COPIES OF ANCIENT EUROPEAN HELMETS. Lot of (3) Victorian Period (1840-1900) copies of ancient European helmets. (1) is a European helmet made in the style of the 16th-17th century with single moving face visor; two-piece skull, all with roped edge and of light steel construction (for parade?). (2) is a copy of a Medieval Norman-style helm with no nasal bar. One piece construction with heavy rust age patina. No interior liner. (3) is an interesting form of a European Cabasett made in the style of the 17th century. Old interior linor with tears and loses, protective cheek scales are present with restoration to the leather. Two piece skull construction of light weight with an unidentified armorer's mark. A great group of helmets for display. $1,500 - 2,500
