Lot 535

1853 N-24 R3 NGC graded MS63 Brown. Frosty medium steel brown and chocolate. Sharp and attractive, but there are a few minor marks. The notable ones are a tiny scuff up from the right point of star 8, a fine pin scratch tucked under the hair bun, and a shallow planchet lamination on the rim over IC in AMERICA. None of these defects is visible without a glass and the eye appeal is excellent. Sharply struck LDS, die state b. The fine vertical die lines at the inner curl are gone. Our grade is MS60 net AU55. Estimated Value $200-UP

Ex Bob Henderson.
