1803 C-2 R4 VG7. Several points sharper but there are three small patches of corrosion on the reverse, the strongest between the D in UNITED and the adjacent S. The remainder of the planchet is smoother but does show very fine roughness under magnification. The only other notable marks are two sharp nicks left of the peak of the numerator in the fraction. Rather glossy steel brown blending to darker olive brown in protected areas. MDS, Manley state 3.0, with fine die cracks on the reverse but no cud breaks. The date and legends are complete and strong. Estimated Value $100-UP

Ex Doug Bird 5/2008.
